Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) has awarded a $7.5 million contract to Paris-based Saft for providing Evolion lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery systems to support the next phase of its 4G/LTE roll-out programme. Delivery of the battery systems is likely to be completed by June 2015. Saft will also provide a dedicated service to RJIL for life cycle support across the entire installed base.
