Tishknet establishes an LTE-TDD network in Iraq

Ericsson has collaborated with Iraq-based internet service provider Tishknet to establish the country’s first long term evolution – frequency division duplexing (LTE-FDD) network.
The LTE-FDD network has deployed Ericsson’s RBS 6000 base stations and SSR 8000 routers. The company plans to use this network to provide broadband services to in the northeastern Kurdistan region of Iraq.
