Alcatel-Lucent signs a global frame agreement with the Telenor Group
June 25, 2013
Alcatel-Lucent and the Telenor Group have signed a global frame agreement spanning three years, say news reports.
As per the terms of the agreement, the vendor will enable the deployment of mobile Internet optimisation tools on the operator’s 2G, 3G and 4G networks in Europe and Asia.
These tools will manage the delivery of Internet traffic over a mobile network, thereby optimising the experience for customers accessing video and web content, while ensuring that the surge in demand does not impact customers using the network for other activities.
Alcatel-Lucent will oversee the system architecture, design, planning and end-to-end integration and testing of the technology.
