M1 appoints Huawei to expand its 3G network

Singapore-based service provider M1 has awarded a $8.7 million contract to Huawei for expanding and upgrading its 3G network.
Huawei will expand the coverage of M1's existing 3G network on the 2100 MHz band by deploying additional base stations and optimising the 3G network for improving call connectivity.
This is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2013.
