Cellular One appoints Ericsson to deploy 3G network

The US-based operator, Cellular One has partnered with Ericsson to roll out its 3G network.
Ericsson will assist Cellular One to upgrade its telecom network to 3G.
Ericsson will also deploy its Mini-Link microwave products in the Cellular One’s network, thereby increasing the operator’s backhaul capacity. Ericsson will overlay 3G WCDMA and replace Cellular One’s existing 2G network. The vendor will install base station controllers, radio network controllers and multi-standard base stations in the operator’s network.
The upgraded network is expected to help Cellular One to further increase its coverage in areas across northeast Arizona and New Mexico
