Wind Italy appoints Huawei to deploy its LTE network

Italy-based service provider Wind Italy has appointed Huawei to roll out its long term evolution (LTE) network in the country.
The operator is planning to invest $1.3 billion to build up its LTE network. Wind Italy the third largest service provider in Italy got 4G spectrum in 2012. With an aim to reduce its operational expenditure and capital expenditure, the operator is entering into site sharing contracts with other operators for rolling out its LTE network.
