France Telecom and Vodafone have inked a strategic pact as part of which they will roll-out fibre-based broadband network in Spain.

The partnership between the two companies has come over as a result of both the companies to reduce capex and opex. The companies will develop two complementary networks providing broadband connectivity to 3 million buildings, in more than 50 cities.

For Vodafone Group, Spain contributed 9 percent of the revenue in H1 2012-13.
