BQ launches Ubuntu-powered smartphones in the country
Spain-based smartphone manufacturer, BQ, has launched two Ubuntu operating system based smartphones in India. The two devices, Aquaris E4.5 and Aquaris E5 will be available on e-commerce website Snapdeal by the end of August 2015. Both the devices will be available in black colour and will support dual-sim functionality, 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The Aquarius E4.5 features a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 540x960 p. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad core Cortex A7 processor, 1GB RAM and a 2150 mAh battery. The phone has 8 GB storage capacity, expandable upto 32 GB with a microSD card. It sports an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The device will be available at a price of Rs 11,999.
On the other hand, Aquarius E5 features a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 720x1280 p. The device is powered by a 1.3 GHz MediaTek quad core Cortex A7 processor, 1GB RAM and a 2500 mAh battery. The phone has 16 GB storage capacity, expandable upto 32 GB with a microSD card. It sports a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The device will be available at a price of Rs 13,499.
