Google Nexus 9 announced for sale in the Indian market
Google has announced the launch of its Google Nexus 9 tablet which is expected to be available in India by November 2014. The device, priced at Rs 28,900 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi only variant and Rs 44,900 for 32 GB cellular variant, features an 8.9 inch IPS LCD display with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with 2 GB RAM and comes with an 8 megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash along with a 1.6 megapixel front camera.
The tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the most recent version of Google's operating system for mobile devices and is manufactured by HTC. It also features dual front-facing speakers with HTC’s Boomsound and dual microphones. It is power backed by a 6700 mAh battery, which can deliver up to 9.5 hours of browsing time, video playback time of up to 9.5 hours, and a standby time of 30 days for the Wi-Fi model.
