Huawei launches the 10GE Cell Site Router at the Mobile World Congress
Huawei has launched the 10GE Cell Site Router ATN 950B for LTE backhaul at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
ATN 950B strengthens the capabilities of Huawei’s mobile broadband solutions, enabling carriers to deploy extra-large LTE networks and provide enhanced mobile data services for its users.
Last year marked a significant milestone for the global LTE market, and today, 237 operators from 85 countries have invested in LTE. With its small-size and large capacity, ATN 950B meets the demand of rapid bandwidth growth for LTE, by providing larger network bandwidth, multi-services, higher deployment efficiency, and lower maintenance.
As the world’s first 10GE CSR, ATN 950B covers bandwidth increases from 1GE to 10GE during LTE phases, even beyond LTE. ATN 950B is 300mm deep and can share the same rack with eNodeB.
ATN 950B also supports 10GE ring, L2VPN, L3VPN, and H-QoS and can flexibly schedule various services on complex networks. At the same time, it supports synchronization with multiple precise clocks, such as ACR, synchronous Ethernet, and IEEE1588v2.
“LTE will become the mainstream in the mobile market and develop at a rapid pace in the coming two to three years,” said Gai Gang, president of Carrier IP Product Line, Huawei. “Driven by this trend, LTE base CSR needs to be developed. As the first 10GE CSR, ATN 950B helps operators deploy mobile broadband networks quickly and evolve their networks to LTE networks smoothly."
