BSNL plans to add 50,000 fixed wireless terminal connections in the Gujarat circle

BSNL plans to add 50,000 fixed wireless terminal (FWT) connections in the Gujarat circle. The company is currently servicing 91,000 connections in the circle. BSNL will add switches in 75 locations across the state where cable is not possible and plans to invest around Rs 80 million towards this. In certain locations where phone connections via cable are not possible, BSNL will provide a connection tool using wireless in local loop (WLL).
BSNL also has plans to launch CDMA mobile phones in the rural areas.
