Bharti Airtel to expand its network in South Africa and Cameroon
January 03, 2012
Bharti Airtel is reportedly considering expanding its network in South Africa and Cameroon.
This is despite incurring losses primarily owing to its network expansion in Africa, roll-out of 3G services and the tariff war in the Indian telecom sector.
Currently, the operator offers services in Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Madagascar, Niger, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
