Verizon Wireless and Canadian vendor Research In Motion (RIM) have introduced the first 1x EV-DO-enabled BlackBerry, the 7130e, capable of delivering e-mail and data capabilities commonly available with the BlackBerry wireless platform, but also serving as a modem for customers who want to use the device to connect their laptop with Verizon Wireless's BroadbandAccess service.
