PT Bakrie Telecom of Indonesia plans to launch an IPO by December 2006

PT Bakrie Telecom of Indonesia plans to launch an initial public offering (IPO) by December 2006. It expects to be listed on the Jakarta Stock Exchange early next year, according to news reports. The company is preparing for the IPO by registering with the capital market watchdog Bapepam. Company officials expect to earn up to Rp750 billion ($74.9 million) from the share sales. The proceeds of the offering will be used to fund the expansion of networks.
