Datacom Solutions has signed a $400 million tower-sharing agreement with Aircel. According to the 16-month agreement, Datacom will get access to 5,000 of Aircel's towers. While the deal will lower network rollout costs for Datacom, Aircel will benefit by creating value through increasing tenancy. Meanwhile, Datacom has selected IBM as its IT outsourcing partner. As part of the $200 million deal with Datacom, IBM will offer its service assurance solution which will provide service management, monitoring and management of critical services, application and network-based systems to the operator.
