BPL Mobile Communications has filed an appeal in the Bombay High Court against an arbitration panel order that stops the company from issuing fresh shares. The arbitration order was passed in September 2008, after Vodafone Essar requested the panel to prohibit the issue of any new equity by the company. BPL has appealed in the high court as it needs funds for network expansion by its 100 per cent subsidiary, Loop Telecom.
