Even as DoT is under pressure from the finance ministry to complete the 3G auction process, Vodafone has sought a delay due to the global financial crisis. In a letter to DoT, the company has stated that mobilising financial resources in the current economic environment is proving to be an extended process. According to reports, at least three other telecom operators are also in the process of seeking a postponement of the 3G auctions.
