Bharti Airtel, which is set to launch mobile services in Sri Lanka by December 2008, has outsourced all its IT requirements in the country to IBM. The contract for Sri Lanka is an extension of an earlier contract signed between Airtel and IBM for its Indian operations.
Bharti Airtel is planning to roll out services in Sri Lanka by December 2008 once interconnection issues with local telecom firms are sorted out. The telecom major was earlier facing problems getting interconnection from local operators in Sri Lanka.
