MTNL to offer unlimited surfing for its broadband subscribers
June 15, 2005
MTNL has announced that it will offer unlimited surfing for its broadband subscribers. To prevent high rentals from becoming a deterrent to broadband growth, there will be no monthly rental and subscribers will have to pay only for data download at the rate of Rs 2 per MB. The download speed is expected to be 256 kbps. Under its existing schemes, subscribers pay a minimum monthly rental of Rs 399, get 400 MB of free data download and pay Rs 1.10 for every additional MB downloaded.
