Tata Communications plans to spend $500 million by 2010 to set up a Wi-Max network. The company has set a target of connecting200,000 wireless broadband customers by March 2009. It also expects to roll out high speed wireless internet services in 110 cities for its enterprise customers and in 15 cities for its retail customers, by the end of 2008. Meanwhile, Tata Communications is in talks with Temasek Holdings for a possible sale of stake of its retail and broadband business.
