BSNL has realigned the pulse duration for various category of calls
BSNL has realigned the pulse duration for various category of calls within and outside its own network. All calls from BSNL's basic phones within the Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), West Bengal (including Kolkata), Uttar Pradesh (East), Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttaranchal circles will be treated as intra-circle calls. However, basic calls to all cellular networks of the state will be charged at a pulse rate of 45 seconds. For calls on the BSNL cellular network, the pulse rate will be 60 seconds. The only exception is Maharashtra, where basic calls to other cellular networks, including that of MTNL's cellular network in Mumbai, will be charged on a 45second pulse rate. Basic-to-basic calls from Maharashtra circle to Mumbai (MTNL) will be treated as intra-circle calls. For basic-tobasic calls within 50 km, the pulse duration will be 180 seconds while for a WLL call, it will be 90 seconds.
