Ericsson has reportedly bagged the deal to provide its global internet payment exchange (IPX) and messaging service to eight telecom operators in India. These operators are Bharti Airtel, RCOM, BSNL, Vodafone Essar, Aircel, MTNL, TTSL and Idea Cellular. IPX will enable Indian mobile subscribers to securely purchase mobile multimedia content such as music, games, wallpapers and ringtones from mobile content companies.
