Videocon Industries has applied for telecom licences in 22 circles, barring the Northeast circle. Videocon is likely to bring in USbased telecom service provider Verizon Communications as a partner for this venture. The two companies have an existing joint venture for national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) services.
