DoT is likely to adopt a two-stage screening process in the forth-coming norms for granting new unified access service licence (UASLs). In the first stage, it will check whether the company fulfils all the pre-qualification norms. If the company qualifies, its application will be moved to the second stage where detailed information provided by the company will be verified. According to sources, the final set of norms is likely to be declared soon.
