TTSL, which plans to sell or lease out its 6,000 telecom towers, has shortlisted nine tower companies for the deal. Israel's Tower Vision, Crown Castle of the US, and India's XL Telecom, Quipo Telecom Infrastructure and GTL Infrastructure are among those shortlisted. The move will enable TTSL to monetise assets valued at around Rs 120 billion. The company is reportedly planning to invest the funds in its telecom services business.
The company also intends to roll out 3,000 new towers on a build-operate-lease basis.
