Cable & Wireless (C&W) has obtained FIPB approval to launch national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) telephony services in India.

Cable & Wireless (C&W) has obtained FIPB approval to launch national long distance (NLD) and international long distance (ILD) telephony services in India. The UK-based company will offer its services through Cable & Wireless Networks India, in which it has acquired 74 per cent stake. The remaining 26 per cent stake will be picked up by an Indian partner. Cable & Wireless Global (India) currently offers IT services, and captive business process outsourcing activities in the Indian market.
