In a move that will delay the rollout of Wi-Max operations, GSM operators are seeking spectrum in the 2.50-2.69 GHz frequency for their 3G operations. According to them, spectrum in only the 3.4-3.6 GHz band should be allocated for Wi-Max services.
Earlier, the global Wi-Max Forum had cautioned that India could miss the wireless broadband revolution unless it allocates spectrum in the 2.50-2.69 GHz band.
