The new minister for IT and communications, A. Raja, has told BSNL that the price quoted by Ericsson and Nokia for its 45.5 million GSM line tender is too high at $107 per line. According to Raja, $100 per line is an appropriate price, considering that vendors are supplying equipment to private companies at even lower prices.
