CAT Telecom and Hong Kong-based Hutchison are expected to commercially launch CDMA-based mobile services across Thailand by the end of 2007.

CAT Telecom and Hong Kong-based Hutchison are expected to commercially launch CDMA-based mobile services across Thailand by the end of 2007. Currently, Hutch provides CDMA services in 25 central provinces including Bangkok through Hutchison CAT Wireless Multimedia, a joint venture between Hutch and CAT Telecom. However, Huawei Technologies has built a CDMA network that will cover the remaining, uncovered 51 provinces. CAT is currently inspecting the network.
