Vietnamese fixed and wireless telecom service provider EVN Telecom will team up with Singapore-based Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited International to invest $200 million in an undersea fibre optic cable, which will link telecommunications hubs in Asia.

Vietnamese fixed and wireless telecom service provider EVN Telecom will team up with Singapore-based Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited International to invest $200 million in an undersea fibre optic cable, which will link telecommunications hubs in Asia.
The cable's initial capacity will be 320 Gbps, slated to be upgraded to 5.6 Tbps. The 6,800 km cable will connect Singapore, Vietnam, the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan and Guam. The new network will also connect Asian servers to the US and Europe.
