BSNL plans to start CDMA-based wireless in local loop (WLL) mobile service in Uttar Pradesh (West) by offering 130,000 WLL connections in 2007. Uttar Pradesh (West) is a lucrative market for the company's GSM-based mobile services. In 2004, this telecom circle generated a revenue of Rs 360 billion for the company, which increased to Rs 390 billion in 2005-06.
