TRAI has served a show cause notice to TTSL regarding its fixed wireless service
April 15, 2005
TRAI has served a show cause notice to Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) regarding its "Walky" fixed wireless service. The notice alleges that its Walky service is violating the numbering plan and has demanded an explanation for it from the company.
Earlier, BSNL had approached TRAI on the matter as it found that Walky telephones in cities like Ghaziabad with different STD codes from Delhi's could be dialled using the Delhi STD code. This had implications such as a bypass of ADC and lower carriage costs.
