Following two show-cause notices to Reliance Infocomm for illegally routing international calls as local calls in order to avoid paying ADC, DoT has asked the company to pay up the penalty of Rs 1.5 billion. Reliance Infocomm opposed the penalty, claiming that the show-cause notice was lacking in material particulars.
