Vodafone to launch 4G services in Kolkata and Mumbai by December 2015

Vodafone India has announced that it will launch its 4G services in Kolkata and Mumbai by December 2015. The operator has already commenced the testing of these services in the cities. Vodafone had earlier announced that it will begin offering 4G service in the Delhi-NCR circle by December 2015.
While the operator has rolled out over 250 sites over the past six months in Kolkata in Mumbai, over 1,000 sites have been rolled out. The operator is also investing significantly to upgrade its existing 2G/3G network. It has invested over Rs 960 million and Rs 5 billion in Kolkata and Mumbai, respectively, for the purpose.
