Idea Cellular is planning to raise Rs 100 billion through an issue of non-convertible debentures on private placement basis in one or more tranches. The exercise to raise this capital will be completed within one year. In this regard, the operator will soon be seeking approval from its shareholders at its annual general meeting on September 28, 2015.

At AGM, the operator will also seek shareholder’s nod for the re-appointment of Himanshu Kapania as the managing director for another five years starting from April 1, 2016. Further, it will seek approval for declaring dividend for FY 2015.
