Samsung India to focus on the domestic handset market in the second-half of 2015
Samsung India has stated that it will focus on the domestic handset market in the second-half of 2015. It has also stated that India is now one of the top three markets for the company.
The company has already launched 17 handsets in the Indian market in 2015, with a majority of them being 4G-enabled handsets. This comes as the company is anticipating a surge in demand for 4G devices in the near term. Meanwhile, it is also planning to expand and consolidate its retail and service outlets in the country.
Samsung has also stated that it has been heavily investing in research and development in India. The company has three R&D facilities in India that includes one designing plant two manufacturing units.
