Vodafone India invests Rs 7.5 billion to expand telecom network in Tamil Nadu

Vodafone India has invested over Rs 7.5 billion in expanding its telecom network and distribution network in the Tamil Nadu circle in 2014-15.
The operator has expanded its network footprint in the circle by adding over 3,600 new sites. Following the expansion, Vodafone India now has close to 6,300 3G and about 10,500 2G telecom sites across Tamil Nadu.
Further, over the last 12 months, the operator has also expanded its exclusive retail footprint to 890 outlets. At present, Vodafone India has a network of 53 Vodafone stores, 20 Global Design stores, 236 Vodafone mini stores and 600 ADVMS (rural mini stores).
