Hathway rolls out its high-speed Docsis 3.0 network across India
Cable and broadband company, Hathway has rolled out its Docsis 3.0 network in India. The Docsis 3.0 technology provides high-speed internet connectivity of 50 Mbps.
The company has stated that it will continue to invest in expanding the high speed broadband networks in the country. The company’s focus now is to make Docsis 3.0 accessible to all at affordable price points.
The company has recently announced that it has earmarked capital expenditure to the tune of Rs 7 billion in 2015-16. Meanwhile, it plans to invest Rs 5 billion in its broadband business over the next two years. Presently, Hathway has 0.45 million broadband subscribers and is planning to take this up to one million subscribers by 2016-17.
