Ministry of Communications and IT urges operators to improve their quality of service
April 06, 2015
The Ministry of Communications and IT has asked the telecom operators to improve their quality of service after consumers raised concerns regarding call drops and other quality-related issues.
The minister is of the view that a lot of spectrum is available for telecom operators to improve their services. He further warned that if the consumers continue to raise concerns, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India will be approached to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, the ministry believes that there will be negligible impact of Re 0.013 per minute on mobile call rates following the conclusion of spectrum auctions.
