DoT selects mjunction services to conduct spectrum auctions in February 2015
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has selected mjunction services limited, a Kolkata-based e-commerce company for conducting the spectrum auctions to be held in February 2015. DoT is selecting an auctioneer to conduct spectrum auctions across 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz and 2500 MHz bands. Earlier in this regard, DoT had shortlisted three companies- mjunction services, a consortium led by Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation and C1 India for conducting the auction process.
mjunction services has been selected for a period of three years for conducting auctions and its contract could be further extended by another year. Further, as per the regulations, it would be paid a percentage of difference between the reserve price of spectrum and the final bid price.
