BSNL has announced a new tariff plan, called CellOne Post-Paid Plan-140, for its subscribers in Karnataka. Under the plan, outgoing calls will be charged at Rs 1.20 per minute within the licensed service area on a 60-second pulse. There will also be a registration fee of Rs 500 and activation charges of Rs 200. The security deposit for local calls will be Rs 1,000. These deposits will be refunded on surrender of the service. The new scheme was previously available in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Gujarat.
