In its third complaint that the San Diego-based Qualcomm has filed against Nokia, it has alleged that the Finnish wireless manufacturer infringed upon six Qualcomm patents. Subsequently, Qualcomm wants to halt imports and sale of a few Nokia handsets. The legal action revolves around the use of GSM, which is the dominant technology in Europe and Asia and is also used in the US by carriers such as Cingular Wireless and T-Mobile USA.
Nokia is reportedly evaluating the filing and will respond accordingly. The investigation is expected to begin in July.
