BSNL demands immediate payment from MTNL in lieu of interconnect usage charges and access deficit charges
June 15, 2006
BSNL has demanded immediate payment from MTNL in lieu of B interconnect usage charges (IUC) and access deficit charges (ADC) for its limited mobile service, Garuda. The payment is reportedly due from November 14, 2004 and is estimated to be in the range of Rs 1-1.5 billion. MTNL argued that its Garuda FWT service was similar to fixed line service and hence was not liable for IUC.
