Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited to launch video call services in 12 states
BSNL’s video calling offices (VCO) booths provide users the facility to make video calls within India. Users do not require a personal computer while making an instant face-to-face video call from BSNL’s VCO booth. A 45 second video call from BSNL VCO booth will cost users Rs 3.
Further, BSNL is planning to launch VCO booth in as many as 12 states in the country. These include - Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir. In the next month, BSNL will be extending VCO booths to the southern and eastern regions of the country as well.
The VCO solution being used by BSNL for providing video call services to users, has been developed by Ahmedabad-based Sai Infosystems (India) Limited.
