China Unicom to issue 10 billion yuan short-term debt (China)

China United Telecommunications Corporation Limited (China Unicom), China's second largest mobile operator, has issued 10 billion yuan in short-term debt (9 billion yuan in oneyear debt and 1 billion yuan in 180-day debt). China Unicom has received approval from the People's Bank of China to issue short-term debt on the interbank bond market, with China Everbright Bank as the lead underwriter.
