PT Multimedia Nusantara buys 80 per cent stake in IT firm (Indonesia)

Indonesia-based telecom company PT Telekomunikasi's wholly owned subsidiary PT Multimedia Nusantara has bought an 80 per cent stake in IT company PT Sigma Cipta Caraka for about $35 million. Sigma Cipta specialises in software development and customisation, network and system integration services as well as internet access mainly for the banking sector.
According to the Indonesian operator, the synergy between its 6,000 corporate customers and Sigma's 170 customers, consisting mainly of banks, will improve its customer base portfolio.
