Omantel close to acquiring stake in Worldcall (Pakistan)

Omantel is in the final stages of acquiring 65 per cent stake in Pakistan-based wireless operator Worldcall. The deal will enable Omantel to gain a foothold in Pakistan's telecom market.
Omantel was expected to conclude the purchase of the stake in June 2007.
