China Mobile completes purchase of Paktel shares (China)

China Mobile has completed its purchase of 100 per cent share in Pakistan-based Paktel for $460 million and renamed it CMPak Limited. CMPak will invest $400 million in 2007 to expand its network. The company is targeting to increase its network capacity and infrastructure to serve over 20 million customers. Meanwhile, China Mobile reportedly plans to acquire more assets in Asia. However, the operator has not yet identified potential targets.
