HFCL posts financial results for the quarter ended June 2015
Himachal Futuristic Communications Limited (HFCL) has reported a net profit of Rs 1.12 billion for the quarter ended June 2015, a growth of 62 per cent over Rs 0.69 billion earned during the quarter ended June 2014.
The growth can be attributed to the surge in demand for optical fibre and one-time gain from past investments. The company’s revenue increased by around 1 per cent from Rs 6.19 billion in the quarter ended June 2014 to Rs 6.25 billion in the quarter ended June 2015. The company earned Rs 0.38 billion as one time interest from past investment and Rs 0.32 billion from exports during the quarter.
The company's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBIDTA) increased by 4.30 per cent from Rs 0.87 billion in the quarter ended June 2015 to Rs 0.91 billion in the quarter ended June 2015. The earnings per share (EPS) increased from Re 0.55 to Re 0.90 during the same period.
