Videocon Telecom posts results for the first quarter of 2015-16
Videocon Telecom has posted 43 per cent growth in its net revenue for GSM business in the first quarter of 2015-16 over the same quarter last financial year. The operator has also achieved 32 per cent growth in its subscriber base over the same period.
Further, Videocon Telecom has reported a 21 per cent improvement in its net rate per min (NRPM) in the first quarter this year over previous year. The operator also reported a 15 per cent growth in its minutes of usage during the same period.
Videocon Telecom has doubled its data revenues in the first quarter of this year over the same period last year. Data contribution is approximately 12 per cent of the operator’s gross revenue. The company aims at taking up the data contribution to gross revenue at 15 per cent by end of the current financial year.
The operator is targeting positive earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) in its Madhya Pradesh and Haryana circles by the end of this financial year.
